We offer swim lessons for kids of all ages seven days a week. We make swimming a convenient and consistent part of your student’s routine.
It’s super easy to enroll! Pick a day and time that works best for your family and that is your reserved time until your student moves up a level or your schedule changes.
Personalized swim lessons
Our swimming school offers weekly, 30-minute classes for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Most families choose a weekly group lesson, and we also offer additional classes to tailor to your child’s needs. Each program will have your child master safe swimming skills for life.
Group lessons
Your child will be paired with other kids who have the same skill level.
Private swim lessons
Your child will undergo one-on-one swimming lessons with our professional coaches.
Semi-private lessons
Along with a professional coach, your child will be paired with a swim buddy to help them learn faster by recognizing mistakes made by their partners.
Family Swim
This is free every weekend! You’ll join your child in the pool for family fun. This option is available for families who are actively swimming in weekly lessons.
Story-Based Learning
At Bear Paddle, we integrate story-based learning with our swimming lessons at our Florence, Kentucky branch. First, our swimming instructors will assess the skill level of your kid.
We’ll then create a plan depending on the type of lesson they’re enrolled in and their current capabilities.
Your child can start as early as six-months-old. As for the progression system, it’ll begin at the basic level and advance to the sixth level to learn a competitive edge. We also provide patches for every skill level your child master. They can earn up to 23 patches. Once all patches have been secured, your child will be ready for graduation.

Our swimming school helps your child become a confident swimmer by tracking progress. Each child receives a monthly in-water skill evaluation, followed by a progress report. Our Progress Patch reward system celebrates your child with each new swim skill learned.
Story-based learning
We believe play-based learning keeps kids engaged and having fun. Our story-based approach keeps kids focused on their swim lesson, with new themes every month.
Flexible scheduling
Our monthly curriculum allows you to enroll any time, and allows us the opportunity to graduate your child to the next swim level when they are ready. Plus, every family receives two make-up lessons each month!

She loves her time here every week. They actually teach children how to swim and techniques that will come in handy if they were to fall into a pool (swim toward wall, flip to breathe etc.). Swimming Lesson FAQs
If you have concerns regarding our lessons, schedules, or health protocols, here are some FAQs we compiled for your assurance:
Our maintenance and cleaning team disinfects each location regularly, including but not limited to door handles, tables, floors, benches, sinks, fixtures, toilets, and diaper changing stations. Our caretakers also clean the shower stalls and changing stations after each use. We also provide hand sanitizers for all of our students. Moreover, the chlorinated water and ultraviolet filtration system offer complete protection for our customers and employees.
Bear Paddle tests the water chemistry of pools before, during, and after every 30-minute shift. This way, we can guarantee compliance with CDC’s guidelines. In terms of disinfection, we use chlorinated water and ultraviolet light to kill 99.99% of disease-causing bacteria and viruses.
Moreover, most of our pools utilize Defender Filtration systems powered with Diatomaceous Earth (DE) media. Due to these filters, we can remove particles up to one micron. For better understanding, red blood cells are approximately 5 microns, so our disinfection systems provide a safe swimming experience for you and your family.
The student-teacher ratio is 3:1 or 6:1 depending on each student’s age and proficiency level.
We try our best to accommodate families with multiple enrollees. Depending on their age and skill level, they’ll either receive a different swim buddy or get paired if our coach deems it acceptabl
We accept students as young as six-months-old. At this stage, they’ll be introduced to the Teddy Paddle and Teddy Float techniques with the help of a flotation device.
